TVR 530 2023 EDITION
French Vintage Round Panto is a nod to European classics — The universal and genderless TVR®530 is launched in conjunction with TVR® OPT 10th Anniversary.
Sabae, Japan — TVR® OPT continues its hot streak and the success of TVR® Infinity 8 with another remarkable collection using 8mm Zylonite Acetate material in conjunction with its 10th Anniversary. TVR®530 is a unique old-style Panto shape that is based on the 1950s thick Panto vintage, detailed with a classic and beautiful silhouette when worn.
The new model fronts a ‘mountain bridge design’ that is unique to its originating epoch, balanced with French vintage sensibilities — an orthodox Panto shape with old French appearance, featuring two dots rivets on the keyhole bridge that act not just for aesthetics but to ensure that the glasses wouldn’t break easily. The iconic thick Panto glasses are originally inspired by Andy Warhol, Dave Brubeck, Paul Robeson, Dizzy Gillespie, and a slew of jazz musicians who made this unique eyeglasses a signature style in the 50s and 60s.
Defined by clean lines, simple curves, and protruding hinges, the Panto glasses spell classic timelessness among eyewear connoisseurs. Panto-shaped eye frames are versatile, genderless, and statement pieces with nuanced European influences. Back in the heydays, most French eyeglasses are made using 8mm and 10mm celluloid materials — thick front and sides in mylonite acetate create a sleek and edgy frame.
